Renee Trionfetti, VMD, SDEP-Abdomen Certified Sonographer

Dr. Trionfetti graduated from University of Pennsylvania College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. After graduation, Dr. Trionfetti worked in both general practice and emergency medicine.

Dr. Trionfetti has completed 150 hours of CE in ultrasound training through Sonopath, Sound’s Academy of Veterinary Imaging, and the NAVC. She obtained her SDEP-abdomen certification through Sonopath in August 2024. She continues to expand her ultrasound knowledge through Sonopath. Further goals are to obtain SDEP-Echo certification and IVUSS Certification.

Through both ER and GP experience, Dr. Trionfetti began utilizing ultrasound as a non-invasive, low-stress diagnostic tool. This quickly became a passion as it helped to expand analytical insight by answering many clinical questions.

As Dr. Trionfetti continues to expand her knowledge of ultrasound interpretation, all ultrasound cases will be submitted to Sonopath for specialist interpretation. Sonopath reports give a full description of all organs and any pathology imaged. They also provide recommendations for next steps.

Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Renee was a critical care registered nurse in New Jersey. Renee graduated from Quinnipiac University, School of Nursing in 2007. She worked in the emergency-trauma department and intensive care units. Ultimately, her love for animals and medicine led her to veterinary medicine.

Renee and her husband are kept busy at home raising their two young daughters, a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old. Outside of work, Renee enjoys all forms of exercise and being outdoors with her family including their dog, Daisy. Daisy is a high-energy rescue who loves to go running, hiking, and playing ball. Their cat mostly loves snacks and a warm lap!
