Common indications for ultrasound:
Heart murmur
Abnormal lab values – elevated liver enzymes, Azotemia
GI signs – chronic vomiting and/or diarrhea, inappetence, abdominal pain
Urinary dysfunction – suspected cystitis, hematuria, stranguria
Blood work changes:
Elevated ALT/AST Elevated ALP Persistent Azotemia
Elevated Bile Acids Hyperbilirubinemia Anemia / thrombocytopenia
Radiographic changes:
Organomegaly Pulmonary mass Mediastinal mass
Effusions Pulmonary edema Mass densities
Ascites Calculi
